    [color=35007]Hi everyone,
    I have a question about utilizing a VA loan in California, a community property state. I read in the VA Lenders Handbook that the VA requires the lender to take into consideration, the credit history of the applicantâ??s spouse (in community property states only) . This is even if the spouse is not to be a co borrower or on the tittle.

    In my own situation, my wifeâ??s credit is beyond repair. My issues have been straightening out nicely. I would like to know if it would be possible to use the VA option if she signs a Quit Claim. Is this allowed on VA loans? I hope someone could shed some light on this for me. Thank you in advance.
