I just installed Windows XP and love it. For some reason, though...I have to log into this board (and others) every time I visit, every time I want to reply to a post and every time I post. Cookies are enabled...

Can one of you XP experts help me out here?

    Thanks!

Hmmm, that's strange. I've had XP since I got my Dell 2 months ago and never have to login.

LK...the only thing down there with a red circle and white x is the Windows Messenger. Don't see anything for privacy. In fact...Windows Messanger is the only thing I have down there at all except for Word Perfect.

Any other suggestions? This could get annoying really fast seeing as how I'm so vocal...lol.

LK, I just sent you a request for remote assistance. At least I think I did that right...its showing that I did and said to wait for your response.

Backspace...not fixed yet. I only loaded this last night and probably should have taken the tour...lol.

    Thanks!

Whyspers, I just set up my new Dell and I had to log on again as if I was new. If you go to the blue button at the top of the credit net page where it says Account, click it and then go to Prefs. The first box asks if you want our userid and password saved. It tells you that if you don't click yes, you will have to login everytime.

Yes!!!!! I agree.. Whyspers i apologize for not getting to you earlier, It's funny because i was tied up earlier repairing a registry for a client located in Billings, MT and i'm in Atlanta, GA He was so floored that i could be way across the country and solve his computer issues with XP. For all you IIS5 lovers XP is really good with this. Make sure you constantly check for your windows updates. It keeps your system running smooth, an also look out for the well anticipated service pack 1 update..... LizardKing do you run into problems with Firewalls? I've heard of people having problems, but i haven't run into that myself......

Awesome, Awesome...I had the similar setup, and got so damn comfortable and the clients would just want me to do work after hours, beyond contract and would give me the "Wink Wink", so i said forget my employer. I built a nice nest egg of clients and went Solo... It's been going well for about 2 years, just riding the wave and hope the market stays smooth......
