I have an entry on Exp that is over 7 years old, but they refuse to delete it. TU an EF has removed it, but Experian refuses to. Unsure what to do next. I sent letter along with the deleted reports telling them its over 7 years old and please remove. The real problem is that the OC has reported 3 different DOFD dates. TU 2/02 and EF 3/02 and Exp who was reported and verified as 7/02, but now changed to 8/02. They increased it my a month. I don't get this at all.

    Their response reads:

Each national CRA may interpret the requirements of the FCRA differenlty and each company has their own polices and gidelines for investigatons. Therefore, we cannot update or delete information in our database based on the results of an investigation with another CRA nor can we dispute information for a consumer with another CRA."

Does anyone know what this means? I checked the list of response from CRAs but did not see this one?

The date of status will control Experian and they tend to allow things to remain 7 years and six months from the date of status.

They violate the FCRA far worse than the other two.
