Ok, I disputed four inquiries from the same subscriber and they sent me their little form letter about how they are not going to delete anything and if I suspect fraud then I need to call the subscriber. UUUUGGGGGHHH! They really kill me with this. What do I do? What's my next move? I am determined to close on a house by the end of Q4 or at the latest by February.
1. File an online FTC complaint against the bureau that refused to take your dispute: https://rn.ftc.gov/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01 and from the pull-down menu, choose "credit reports" as the subject of your complaint (won't help in a particular case, but think of it as your long-run contribution to society). 2. File an online BBB complaint against the lender who has made the duplicate INQ's: http://www.bbb.org/bbbcomplaints/Welcome.asp -- this has worked for some people. 3. If you don't get results within 45 days, file a SC suit against the bureau involved, for willful noncompliance w/ the FCRA (their refusal to reinvestigate a nonfrivolous dispute). Saar
