Overdraft Protection

    Does a credit line for overdraft hurt the score any???

    1000.00 overdraft account

    Depends how it is reported.

    My overdraft protection is listed as a VISA account. So it reports as a cc.

    I belive it will report as Line of Credit Revolving.

    My friend as it same bank this is how it reports.

    Our overdraft is a LOC thru our credit union.
    It reports as a LOC on our reports and didn't really affect our score. We hardly ever use it anyways and if we do we pay it off immediately.

    when i had it with FleetBoston, it reported as revolving credit
