I have a paid car loan (actually, I was taken to court and had my pay garnished for what I owe)

I'm all done with that now -- garnished paid the rest of the loan in full.

    but my credit report shows:

Unpaid balance reported as a loss by the credit grantor. Charged off as bad debtProfit and loss write-off Charged off account

    on all three reports...

How do I fix this? How easy would it be to get this dropped? I believe this is my worst offender on my credit.

    Thanks in advance.

well, I would dispute it as paid in full. Did you pay the creditor for it? It could be that the creditor charged it off and a CA bought the debt and it was the CA you paid.

    Hi-

Yes, the original creditor sued me and won by default. The judge had my wages garnished.. I don't believe this ever went to collections.

Should I just go to their office with a copy of my credit report to dispute? Or should I dispute with each individual credit agency (equifax, etc..)

    Thanks in Advance

First, obtain a satisfaction of judgment from the OC. Dispute it with the OC, then with the CRAs.

Thanks. If I do this and get a satisfaction of judgement, would the CRAs be more inclined to 'remove' or just change the wording to 'paid' ?

Depends on the CRA. Sometimes Experian won't delete without a court order.
