    Paid/Charge off - Exxon/MBGA

My wife filed for a chapter 7 bankruptcy in 1997. She did not include her Exxon/MBGA account in the bankruptcy because she wanted to keep her gascard. Of some reason Exxon/MBGA decided to close her account despite the fact that she had always paid them on time and in full. She even mailed in her monthly payment (in full) a few hours before she found out that they had closed her account.

I am now trying to clean up her credit history and found that Exxon/MBGA have listed her account as "PAID/Charge off" with $0 balance and $42 high limit. Does not seem right to me that they list her as "Paid/Charge off" when she never had been late on her account and did not actually owe them any money.

What should I do about? Thanks for any input!

Send the "Nutcase Letter". Personalize it. Do a search under "Nutcase Letter". You'll find it. You may have to follow up with the "Son of Nutcase Series". They're all here. Just do a search of those, as well. They're great!
