    Hi and thanks in advance,

I have a paid collection account on my credit report that i would like to try and remove. The collection account is for an apartment that I coleased with a friend when I was around 19 or 20. I called the CA a few days ago to find out the last date of delequency. According to them the the delequency date is 11/99. I moved out of the apartment complex in 97 or 98. I was never billed or called by the apartment complex nor the CA. I paid the ca the full ballance in late 2000 when I found out about from pulling my first credit report after beind denied at a couple of attempts from obtaining an unsecured credit card.

    A few questions:)

Should the date of last delequency be 11/99 if i moved out in 98 or 97?

Is it kinda hopeless to dispute the account since I already paid it and have no leverage against them?

If it is reasonable to dispute what we would be the best way to go about it?

Since it is paid, you could try a validation. Chances are they will not validate because it is too much trouble for them on a paid account. They may just delete. It worked for me on a paid collection from IC Systems.
