I have disputed with Experian numerous times that I paid a collection item to Global Payment Inc back in 01/2001. Continually Experian says the debt was verified as unpaid. Lucky me I have just found the check where I paid them and it cleared on 01/24/01. The account had been sold to AAA Collectors and they are on my Equifax credit report also as unpaid. Still, Global accepted my payment. Do I DARE send a copy of the check to the credit bureaus? Thanks for any help! ristay
Nope - i would send a nasty-gram and a copy of the check to the original collector and AAA stating if they don't remove that tradeline immediately the next correspondece from you will be a lawsuit.
