About a year and before I learned of this board, I made the unwise decision to pay a $177 collection. Now I am regretting it ever since.

I've gotten it removed from two CRA's thru disputes as "not mine", etc. Got one last CRA sticking that claims to continue to verify.

As for the CA, I've tried estoppel and nutcase to no avail. Since it is paid, they CA sees no reason to communicate with me.

Any ideas as to what I can do next?

    Thanks

    some ideas-
    1) try disputing to the CRA individual items within the listing.
    2) Try disputing to the CA that they're reporting inacurate info in general:
see if they pull a CR on you
see if they report your dispute.

They may have your money already, but I'd try to trip them up somewhere and get them on the line for FCRA violations. Then they have financial incentive again :) An inq w/o PP is a $1000 penatly on its own.
