    Hey guys!
Finally! Equifax removed a paid collections from my report. I had a FICO score of 614 with the collections on there... wonder what it is now.

BTW, TU did not remove any of the inquiries I disputed online, so I took the advice of someone on this board. I highlighted the inquiries I want removed and sent in via mail. Hope it will work. I'm still waiting for Experian's results and as for Equifax, I will be disputing the same way as I did TU. Hope it works!

Great! I recently had a paid collection removed by simply writing a short letter and asked them to PLEASE remove the item.

It was about 5 years old and I think it raised my score about 18 points.

    Sofaking,

Do you have a sample of the letter you wrote to have the chargeoff removed? I have a 4 yrs chargeoff.

    Thanks!

SD: When you find out how much it helped your FICO, let us know.

SofaKing: Who did you write, the creditor or the collection agency or the CRA?

As far as scores go, I recently had 2 30 day lates that they claimed happened in the spring of 2000. It was finally corrected by the creditor and my score went up 38 pts.
