I'm having a problem with a paid collection account.

It was for an old cell phone bill. I was being contacted by a collection agency but the collection was listed on my CRA under the original creditor.

I received a settlement offer and I paid the settlement amount. NO, I didn't ask that it be deleted (this was PRE Creditnet).

Well, it's showing up on my CRAs as the original balance MINUS what I paid. Junum disputed it and it came back verified. I called the collection agency and I received a letter saying that the account was paid in full. What do I do now? Do I pay the last bit of money and demand that it be removed or fight to have it removed based on the letter I have. My fear is that it'll remain on my CRA and be marked as paid if I go the latter. I already have one paid collection (medical) from 97 that came back verified that they WILL NOT get off.

    Any help would be appreciated.
