I have a medical bill collection account from 2 years ago for $300. The company verifies it over and over and even sent me a copy of the original contract I signed. They said they will not delete for payment in full. They say it is against the law for them to do so and it will simply show paid collection account. I've talked to the managers and they won't budge. So should I pay it and then hope to remove it later through CRA disputes? Kelly
Tell them your personal contract says you can't pay unless they update the report to show pays as agreed or delete it. Otherwise, it does you no good to pay it.
I do not understand the logic behind their statements such as this... If I was a CA, I would be like.. Delete for payment? How soon can you send the check?
