Hi Everyone, Haven't been on in quite a while, but hopefully someone can help me out. I had an outstanding bill of $190.00 to a medical group that I neglected to pay for about 1 year. A CC sent me letters that I totally ignored, but eventually paid the bill directly to the dr's office and continue to do business with them to this day. The collection company has entered on my CR "Pmt. after charge off/collection". Should I dispute this with the CRA or call the OC? Any help is appreciated Oaknet
Probably more effective to work with the OC, particularly if there was some billing problem (insurance claim needed correction to be paid, etc.). They have the most interest in your continued business, and they have to look you in the face.
