My Parents paid for my severly defaulted US DEPT ED (Student Loan and University Loan)

Since they are paid what are my options as far as getting this removed from my credit report?

from what I read so far a nutcase letter is what I should go for...
any advice would be great.. thanks..

....by the way I am sure this topic has come up..I am doing my best to search for it for answers so if someone happens to know a thread that addresses some of the issues I am having please post in ..

would your parents mind adopting a 31 year old man?

My Parents, God bless them.. I really didn't want them to do this. I was such a mess in my college years and they warned me over and over again. I am 26 now married and just now I am starting to realize how important it is to have a healthy credit report. I would say that my spending/saving habits are terrific now however unfortunately because of my past I have to sweat and worry about being able to rent apartments, get auto insurance.. heck get a car....

As it stands I have one more Student loan that I know is mine and that I will pay but before I do it I just want to make sure that the mark on my report is completely deleted or at the very least modified so it doesn't look so bad.

Heh I was 26 when I finally started to care about my credit but it was not until this year that I learned about my rights. Since then my score has gone up 200 points since july of 2001.
