Re: Everyone, can you update on this? I think we need to file a class action suit against this company and/or it's affiliates. This company and it's other wings or umbrella companies such as Gulf State credit, OSI, Palisade , Asta etc are willingly and purposefully and illegally extorting consumer for no reason . I am one of their big victim. They are doing this with me for more than 3 years . Now they are doing the same thing with my uncle. They inserted false, bogus and fictituous collection record in my personal credit file. Every time I call or write to them to delete the wrong and false entry they do so but they insert the same information with other name again and again. I have five letter from them they sent me saying ' they are sorry for the mistake". My question is how many times you can be sorry for the same mistake. This company did a plenty of damage to me. That's why I am seriously considering to take legal action against them. Hopefully all you guys who had very bitter experiance with this company will be on my side. It's really time to take action. Let's do it.
Well, consider me "part of the group." I just recieved a new credit report and suddenly it says that I owed US West $80 in Feb of 2000 and that Gulf State charged off the amount. They also had me listed at an address in Texas. I've never lived in Texas. I've already started the dispute process, but if anyone could give me the best course of action to follow I would appreciate it. Also consider me in on any class action suits against them. Thanks.
Re: Everyone, can you update on this? Just got back from vacation. I had 2 letters from Gulf States waiting. They said they would delete the listing from my files, however these were about previous listings that had long been removed. Nothing in response to Palisades. I dont think they have any information on the colection. I think we could really hit them hard because they dont have any info on these accounts it seems.

Re: Everyone, can you update on thi NanaC - Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. Mhoss007- I wish I had kept a copy of the letter to Texas AOG complaint, but I filled out the form online. I remember, I even copied it into Word to do a spell check, but then copied it back into the web browser, and failed to keep a copy of this letter. Sorry. I do remember some parts of my complaint, listed as follows: 1) Company is illegally pursuing collection activities in State of Texas with out depositing a bond for $10,000.00 with the Texas Secretary of State, as required by the laws of State of Texas. 2) Company will not provide validation for the derogatory account, which was illegally placed on my consumer reports, in violation of the statutes of Texas Finance Code and Fair Credit Reporting Act. 3) Company failed to mark the account in dispute, which was illegally placed on my consumer report, as required by the statutes of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act; once I requested that the company provide me proof that the alleged derogatory account is really mine (validation) Couple of things I try to do, when I file complaints with State or Federal authorities, I try to use the words like Illegal and Violations a lot. I am not sure if it helps or not, but I have always had a favorable response to all my Texas AOG complaints. Anyway, Plaisades has yet to contact me or provide a validation to my request. Itâ??s been over 30 days. I am just waiting for some free time so I can write out all the violations in a pleading form and file suit against them. Dan Dallas, TX
