I have 18 parking tickets collections on my credit report that are put there by a CA and not the place where the tickets were isssued. I wanted to know if my strategy should be the same as normal collections on my credit report or if there is nothing i can do. I called the city where they were issued and they said they dont have any record of them at all. It seems to me that i have two options to proceed here:
    1) request validation for all these accounts with the CA and then dispute with the CRA as not mine. I really dont think all of these are mine. Also can i just send all the account numbers in one letter of validation or do i need to send 18!!
    2) I can go for a pay for delete with the CA and hope i can get them removed.
I would love any advice or imput and also if anyone has other options i should look at. also if i dispute these with the CRA should i just dipute a couple at a time or all at once. thanks in advance.

Definitely request validation from whoever is listing it. I'd also go ahead and dispute with the CRA's and relay the gist of the information yu received for the city(?) personel. Say something like "I have been in contact with "city clerk(or whoever)" and have been assured that there is no such account information in their files concerning me." I managed to get a couple of state tax liens off of DH's CR using a very similar statement, and with no further effort, they were removed.

Oh yeah, I'm pretty sure you can dispute them all at the same time.

You don't want to dispute them with the CRA untill you get the green card back from the CA.

have you been found guilty on any of these tickets?

are they from the same court or CA ?

did you fail to appear and a warrent was issued?

    each state has different laws.

depending on your answers to the above questions there may be ways to resolve this quickly without a huge hassle.

if you contact the source directly and settle the matter with them you can supply proof to the CRA for deletion.

if you contact the city and they say they have no record of these tickets ask them to supply a court abstract for all these tickets and a letter clearing your name.

make sure you are not in law enforcements computer keep a copy on you, BTW do u have a valid DL?

i called the city and they said that there is nothing in the computer and i asked if it was sent to collections and they said they were not sure. I knew it was in collection only because it was on my report. The CA is reporting it on my credit report not the CO. I dont even think i got these tickets but i cant prove that either.

there is a web site called lawguru.com and you can ask legal attorneys questions regarding all areas of law for every state.

this may be of some further help to you.

In my opinion, I would suggest disputing these tickets with the CRA and see if they get deleted.

if not then I would write a lettter CMRRR to the CA or multiple CA involved and request validation of the debt.

they may not have the proof and will have to be deleted.

but ask the advise of an attorney each state has different laws that pertain to fighting tickets.
