Let's face it - Exactly a year ago my credit was in the dumpster. Everything that a person could do to destroy their credit I had done, and my FICO showed it (540).

After reading and learning all I could here and on a couple of other boards, I have accomplished the following:

1: Eliminated over 36 derogatory credit entries from each credit bureau. While all 3 still show my bankruptcy (and will until December 2005), EFX has no other derogs, EXP and TU have two each. All of these derogs go away before the BK, so in 2 years my credit file will be clean.

2: I can now get decent lines of credit. When I started this credit repair program I was actually declined for a SECURED card, with he bank that I do my every day banking with. While that bank still won't trust me with their money, at least they will now trust me with my own - I finally got the secured card. I also got a credit line with Cap1 in excess of $7,000 up from $500 in 1 year. I don't care about the interest rate since I never carry a balance more than 2 months. I have charged it up close to the limit to get them to report my real credit line (they report high balance as credit line) and promptly paid it back down again.

3: My FICO score is getting into the reasonable range and in increasing monthly.

4: I have $4000 in the bank, proceeds from suing my former creditors for FDCPA and FCRA violations and I am constantly monitoring my credit files for more potential suits to file. This $4000 went into my IRA. The funny thing about that is - I first opened my IRA with bounty fees paid to me as a Bill Collector for finding the jobs and bank accounts of my employers' debtors who had been charged off.

5: I have total credit lines in excess of $25,000.

6: It feels good to be able to buy a new car at reasonable rates (I took the 6% financing and the $4000 rebate)

Thanks, Credit-netters, for the education and support. I hope with my occasional postings I have been able to repay in kind.
