It has been 36 days since I first disputed an account with Experian. I called Experian and they told me that they got a response, but they were having problems reading the response from the OC so they sent it to a special data department at Experian.

I explained to the lady that they have only 30 days to complete thier investigation. She told me it doesn't matter because they got a response back but they are trying to read it. I asked her how long. She said it can take as long as they want.

When I check my Experian CR online it still shows in dispute. What kind of violation did they brake. (hopefully something, lol)

    Somebody please help me.

Directly from the FCRA:(take a good look at the bold section)

    § 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]

    (a) Reinvestigations of disputed information.

    (1) Reinvestigation required.

    (A) In general. If the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer's file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly of such dispute, the agency shall reinvestigate free of charge and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph (5), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer.

Ask the CRA if they'd like to get sued for violating this section of the FCRA.

30 days is 30 days, not " as long as they need to read something ".
