I was reading and I saw someone mention I could contact the creditor n offer a pay for delete letter to them instead of the CA. Even though the CA is the one who placed the negative on my report, the creditor has the power to remove the negative too. Is this true? And should I try or keep sending letters to the CA.

If the CA purchased the debt from the OC, you'll need to work directly with the CA if you want to have any chance of getting them to remove the collection from your credit reports. Often, the OC will also report the debt as charged off, in which case you can try working with them after you've paid the debt to get the charge off removed as well.
