Is there a way to make a legally binding offer to a collection agency that ensures that if a "debt" is paid to them, they will delete the tradeline entirely and permanently from all the credit reports? I have heard people say that Collection agencies don't go for that. They want to be paid and they will change the tradeline to PADI-Collection And if the debt is paid and they don't delete, can that offer be sent to the credit bureau make them delete the tradeline? Thanks.
You could always offer payment for deletion. If they say yes, be sure to get it in writing with a signature from them before you send payment.
