I paid a collection account and at least they did not change the date of last activity so I should drop off next June. However, what is better on a report "Paid" or "Paid as Agreed"? if you can not get it deleted?

The only time it makes a difference is when you are closing on a home loan. you have to pay the unpaid collection before you can close.

Paying a collection gives you ZERO points.

"Paying a collection gets you zero points"

That may be true but if it is a big enough collection and especially if it is a credit card debt doesn't paying down give you points because you owe less money?
