I am having trouble finding an answer to a question I have. Even did a search to no avail. I have old tl that are about to hit sol (3 year verbal, 6 year written contract). I am worried that if I allow to fall off cr, that my fico scores will go down. Would it be better to try for settlement first having them agree to change status to "paid as agreed" (if they will even do that) and get my fico up or does it not matter? It seems that what I have read on here, most people say a bad older tl is better than not having old tl.
