Household/QVC applied 2 payments last year to the wrong account. After 6 MONTHS of calling, faxing and letter sending they finally applied the $$ to my boyfriend's acct. Their letter stated that they applied the $$ to some other account by mistake. Now his reports show a 30 and 60 day late, not to mention they have applied January's payment to the wrong account. Having to straighten the money mix up is bad enough, but to have him reported as late on all three reports really drives me crazy. I have been calling back and forth trying to get someone to take the lates off of his reports. All I get is "Did you send us the front and back copy of the January payment yet?" - a copy that I have to pay the bank for. I just got told a supervisor will call me tomorrow (heard that last week) What can I do to them about this and what should I tell the supervisor? I keep stressing to them that while I am upset over the payments being applied to the wrong account I am more concerned that they report him as late. They don't get it. Experian has him late in 10 & 11 2002 and TU and Equifax have him late in 11 & 12 2002.
