Got the Paypal Providian Visa with a 522 from Experian and myriad chargeoffs/collections. I don't know if it was the addition of a new tradeline, but my score went up to 561. My first true credit card in 8 years, I am thrilled.
What level of the card did you get? Is it clear like everyone has been saying? I know it is issued by providian; has the service been good so far? I have the GetSmart card with the chip on it, does the PayPal Visa come with that also? I would be interested in getting this card, especially since I have a paypal account and am very active on ebay. I would just use that card exclusively to pay for items on ebay.
I got the lowest level of the card and I have not received it yet, I just applied online a few days ago. I nearly fell out of the chair at the approval screen, I am always denied. It is supposed to be a clear card, I haven't seen it yet.
