When I click on a post from the main list, it starts me by default at the last posting. Now if I had read all the previous postings that would be good, but I'm looking at new threads, with 6+ postings, so then I click and have to scroll up to the top to start reading it.
Clicking on the arrow or title of a thread takes you to the first unread post, and in absence of that the most recent post in the thread, i.e. the last post in the thread. Oddly enough, the software automatically marks all messages as read once you register (not something we can change.) Upon registration, therefore, all messages are marked read on your end, and any message you click on takes you to the bottom of the thread. Note that his is convenient use of links once you visit the board regularly, but is certainly annoying when you first register.
