When I first started out here a year and half ago, I was under the impression that a Paid collection was superior to a unpaid charge off- report wise and possibly in getting the tradeline removed wise....overall in the last year or so I would estimate that I was basically dead wrong. The only atvantage that I can see for the paid charge off now is the fact that the account wouldn't be purchased by another CA and show up on your credit file at exactly the wrong time. dog
