Anyone had any success getting an old paid off Pell Grant removed from their report? We got the run around from the Dept of Education regarding the matter. and on another note, Anyone ever have to get a Sterling Bank tradeline/deliquency removed? Just curious on if anyone has had any success with this. Thanks.

Not sure what the situation here is, but sometimes if you withdrawal from school then you have to pay these back. Is that what happened?
Maybe I should have explained a little more. Sorry. My fiance had a Pell grant two years ago. They paid her extra for books and such. Well, she dropped the classes and the Department of Education claimed that she had to pay the overpayment back to them which she did not until this year because they listed the amount on all three of her credit reports as a collection account. They are listed as a "student loan" so she called the dept of education yesterday and they told her it was not eligible under the rehab law because it was a grant and not a loan.
