Anybody heard of this company?? I to it via a link on eloan.com Presumably, it for auto loans of "for sale by owner" cars and motorcycles. I'm interested because I will be in the market here pretty soon, and I've got my eye on privately owned cars.
I have heard of them. Though I have no direct experience with them. This company services the Amex members. When you go to the AMEX site, the auto, consumer, and student loans are handled by PeopleFirst.com Here is the link to their bank: http://www.peoplefirst.com/pff/default_2.cfm?PFFSRCID=SRAX01MEMBRBANKG*****2***&REFERRER_ID=null&d=1 Good Luck
AmEx has them on their site for auto loans. I applied to refi mine and was turned down. They pulled experian. That was when I discovered that the car loan company had reported right after I got the loan and had not updated since. I disputed the balance with CRA and they updated. PeopleFirst declined me because there was no updated info available on the CR. I didn't pursue it because I decided to refi through the credit union I joined a few months ago, rather than the "finance company in the sky." Not only that, but it seems to me if they wanted my business they would have contacted me to get the payoff info, not just sent a decline letter. breeze
Yes, my wife purchased her 2000 Solara through them. They pre-qualified her and sent her a check for the amount, very good experience, she has since paid off the loan and gotten her title and everything. www.creditsense.com
The inquiry showed up as People First Finance Co. That's probably a clue, and it influenced my decision to wait and go through the credit union. breeze
I can't see how their presence hurt my wife's score. She has accumulated well over $100,000 in lines of credit over the last 4 to 5 years and continues to get offers. She refuses to use her credit, unless she is given a teaser rate or a rate lower than 5.9. She uses less than 10% of her available credit and mostly with CreditWorks, after all, she is almost a half owner and derives a great tax benefit from it. www.creditsense.com
