Received an Pre- Approved letter from them today.for Platinum Mastercard..... 0% apr for purchase No fee BT till OCTOBER 2002 8.99% for purchases and BT after October 2002 no annual fee... People's Bank is is probably one of the largest banks in Connecticut. We have our business account there. Sorry, I don't know how they are as far as CC's go but they are legitimate.
Tony - do a search on here about them - I recall some folks having problems with rates getting jacked up with little warning. People's is a small (comparatively) issuer - they dumped most of their "national" portfolio to focus more on their local CT customers. They dropped the TJX Visa (CapOne picked it up). Good luck, mj
Tony V, I got pre-approval offers from People's Bank about two and half years ago. They approved me for $7800 and every year I request the limit increase without pulling credit report. You can check balance and transaction on their websites but you cannot make on-line payment. Tony, you got good rate for purchases and they only give me 10.99% fixed for purchases. Ron.
