I was looking on my CRA and saw a note from the above ca. Then I was on Yahoo and noticed an article detailing a judgement against them in 1999 for buying Bally accounts, and generally harrassing the !@#$ out of people for payment. I have 2 questions: 1. The original debt is from 1995, but was transferred and now shows reported since 1999. So the debt was reaged. What do I do about that? Can I do anything about that? 2. Will the judgement against them in 1999 help me get this off the CRA? Thanks!
I HATE BALLY & PERIMITER!! Jeez, the same thing happened to me. When I was 18 I signed up at Bally and never went, thereby not paying my monthly dues. I had no idea it would effect my credit... who would have thought? I guess I didn't understand that it was a "contract". That darn thing was on my report for a LOT longer than seven years. I think it was around 10 years.
