I was an authorized user on a credit card that went into default. The card was sent to a CA. The CA, pulled a credit report and also reported the debt to TU as mine leaving a record of inquiry and a chargeoff on my TU file. They contacted me and I replied via phone and letter. I told them I was auth and I was not liable. They told me I was listed as joint. After they validated with the CC company, they and the CRA removed the chargeoff record. However, the inquiry remains. Can I have the inquiry removed as well? Should I even care?

I would dispute the inquiry with the CRA
and mention that this inquiry was a result of an error

tell them that the Ca that pulled the inquiry is the same Ca that posted the innacurate TL on your report that was just deleted.

they should remove it for you :)
