Hey all, here is a question for you.

I sent a validation letter to an OC to try to get a 30 and 60 day late corrected. This was more in the line of "I was never late with this account, can you provide documentation that I was?" The account has been closed for 2 1/2 years and was paid in full. It was an auto loan with an area bank.

I just pulled a credit report and noticed an unauthorized hard inquiry 5 days after they recieved my dispute via CRRR. From what I have read I think that I have them on

    1) pulling credit report with no permissable purpose
    2) failing to mark account on credit reports as "in dispute"
    3) potential damages with difficulty in refinancing a mortgage. There are other derogs i'm working on but this was at least contributory.

Does this sound right you you all? any other ideas before sending out a ITS letter?
