Permissible Purpose???

I was reviewing my credit report today and noticed an inq from First USA Bank. I have a card with them, but I didn't apply for anything new or ask for a credit line increase. I am new to this "credit repair" issue. Is this considered "permissible purpose"? I think it was a "hard" inq. What's kind of strange is the inq date is the same date as a "planetfeedback" letter I sent to them complaining about a interest rate hike. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you've a business relationship with them, they've PP.

They have PP...BUT they don't have to do a HARD, EVER, AFTER THE ACCOUNT IS OPEN...that is what "AR'S" are for every month!!!

    BeeGee,

    Welcome to the board.

They do have PP but it should NOT be a hard.

Next, you need to determine if it is.

    Let us know.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

How do I determine if it is a "hard" inq? It's showing on my credit report.

I guess it's a "hard" inq then. What recourse do I have?

Dispute it with the CRA..."I have an account, but did not apply for a second one...please remove the inquiry dated XX/XX/XX"
