While each CR's Personal Information page lists your name, current address, previous addresses, last four digits of an SS #, sometimes known employers, it also lists phone numbers without the area code.
Since individuals have the right to unlisted/unpublished phone numbers through theit carrier - what gives CRAs the right to list the numbers?
Are these bums publishing the numbers when you write them, and ask them to call you back about a matter? Or are they illegally data-basing the numbers of people who call?
Just wrote TU a letter about this. Told them that the phone # that they have listed on my CR is wrong (which it isn't), and demanded that they delete that #.
And as byline told them that my new number is NOYFB.

Most the information is posted from your creditors, collection agencies, or when applying for new credit, when they do their monthly update. Phone numbers and employers is the easiest to remove from the CRA's, you can dispute those online.

    Collectman is right . . . you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

Buy a Lexis Nexis report if you're looking to get your panties in a bunch.
