For those who are interested, check out the progress I have made since April 2006. At that time, I had a handful of past due negative accounts and collections. After reading a lot on this site, and posting questions and then using the suggestions and sample letters, I have completely cleaned up my Equifax report (EX and TU are almost completely clean). My scores have all gone up a minimum of 100 points and continue to rise with on time payments and low balances. I went from having Credit One Bank, First Premier Bank and Rewards 660 card each with $300-500 limits to recently being approved for: Bank of America Platinum - $500 CL HSBC Platinum - $1250 CL Citibank AAdvantage Bronze - $9000 CL Audi Financial Lease for 2007 Audi A4 I paid off the crappy accounts and closed them, and I am so thrilled with my progress. I will never make a late payment ever again, and I will keep my balances low to maintain a good score and help keep it rising.
