Hi all, Fiance and I had a joint account with Cap one in which we settled in 98, after reading how some of you get new cards to pay remaining debt, fiance pplied for new card and got denied due past history of a previous account. Decided to do PFB letter to the attn of Cooke saying I would like to pay remaining debt and like reconsideration of new application to prove credit worthiness, blah, blah, all the good stuff. Well shocked to see hours later a email from him stating: Thank you for your feedback regarding Capital One. According to your posting on Planet Feedback, you expressed concerns regarding your application. We reviewed your request and currently we cannot change our original position regarding this matter. We regret that this is not favorable. Tells me to call after that. Is that the normal reply and maybe call to talk more about paying the remaining balance and possibly a new card? long shot huh lol. Or Is that a pretty much a response as in no way in hell for new card, but can pay what you still owe from settlement. my fiance was the primary on this account but I wrote everything to him and just applied myself but don't want to bother fiance with calling him if nothing good will come out of it. Any body else get that response and something still good happened?
