I registered for PFB and did a "shared" letter then it disappeared. PFB does not show letter, so I guess I will have to do it again. What should I include in my PFB? I have four cap 1 accounts with low limits, on time payments, etc., but called tonight and they refused to give me increases. The rep actually suggested I max out my cards and just pay the minimum balance as a way to get more credit. I explained I want to keep my balances low and with such small credit lines, it's like not having any credit at all. How should I appraoch Mr. Cooke on PFB? I really do want to cancel my cards...I'm not sure he can make up for how I was left feeling after talking with that cap 1 rep. today. I've been excellent with managing my cards, and I got nothing. How come everyone else gets increases but not me? All they did was give me a whiole new card with another 200.00 line of credit. I DON'T WANT ANOTHER CARD. I just want one or two cards with decent credit lines. Please advise. Thanx.

Shared letters do not post in the public forum for approx 24 hours. As far as speaking with Mr. Cooke, just go over with him all the info. you posted here, re-affirm your on-time payment history, never o/l, long time customer, and if you don't like having so many cards, as him to combine into oldest tradeline.

An Open Letter: More Changes At PlanetFeedback

    To: PlanetFeedback

Starting today, the PlanetFeedback "home page" has been revised and redesigned. When you click on
www.planetfeedback.com , you'll first visit a "jump page," where you'll have two options.

If you're a consumer, you can click through to this home page, the one with which you're familiar and where
you can write and read letters to thousands of companies. The jump page also will have a click-through
option for businesses who are intersted in PlanetFeedback's business products and services. The "old"
PlanetFeedback home page can now be found at www.planetfeedback.com/consumer .

-------> Secondly, starting immediately, PlanetFeedback also is suspending -- temporarily, we hope -- the ability of
site users to add comments to the letters that people share publicly on our site. In recent weeks, many of
the comments have turned profane, personal and downright crude, and until we have in place the
technology and tools to better enforce our policies on site content, we are suspending the ability to post
comments. Many of our legitimate users are complaining about the vulgarity and tone of the comments,
and some have asked that their letters be removed because of the comments that have been tacked onto
them, and we have to agree.

We fully intend to maintain the sense of community that we've built on PlanetFeedback, and you'll still be
able to read other consumers' letters and experiences in "Shared Letters" and "15 Minutes of Fame." When
we do have the necessary tools and resources in place to return some sort of commentary function, we'll
certainly let all of you know. Some of PlanetFeedback's most loyal, long-time and helpful users have
volunteered their services, and we're pursuing those options. If you'd like to send feedback on this issue,
    contact me at buyersbuzz@planetfeedback.com.

I hope that all of you have a great 2002! Stay tuned for bigger and better things from PlanetFeedback in the
    coming year!

    Best regards,

    Hello Everyone,

This is just an update to let you know I just did a PFB! This one went through, and I received my confirmation e-mail that Cap1 has received my letter!

Now I suppose I just wait it out. I will let you know what happens.

Anyhow, I have decided that I will close out all of my Cap1 accounts if something isn't done. My credit scores haven't improved dramatically by having them, and I'm thinking that having so many of Cap1 cards might be dragging down my scores.

I know that I will get a refund from IRS this year and plan to use that pay them off. But it would be nice if Cap1 decides they want to keep me as a customer, because I have liked doing business with them, until now.

I noticed some people were complaining to PFB about certain comments from other users, but I had no idea it had gotten so out of hand that they've had to suspend comments because of it.

    Dude...

take a chill pill and relax

When you speak to Mr Cooke tell him EXACTLY what you want. I totally understand your frustration. I was in the same situation, 2 cards with very low limits. 500 on the VISA and 300 on the MC. This was Nov 2001.

I started busting the chops of the CS reps at CapOne they all are not created equal. I got a hold of this dude name Jason and he poured the dirt.

with no OL's or LP's you can get an increase of 50-100% of current CL's EVERY 6 months all depends on usage.

For some people it is automatic...most have to inquire and request.

Got to 500.00 on the MC oldest acount of 3 years come this Feb.

Then I found this board and Mr Cooke...

remember I only had a total of 1000.00 in credit lines in Nov from CapOne

    wellll..........

I now have a 3600.00 on the MC and 1500.00 on the Visa this is Jan which is now 1 year old ---plus a APR of 12.99 on both cards compeesh?

granted this is not much compared to some folks who get 5-10 grand first go round, but you got to start somewhere.

ask if denied ask again if denied ask again this is the cycle we must endure. I was at the same point I was just going to cancel the cards and pay them off now I am glad i did not do that-for the record that was in my letter to Mr Cooke

put it in you mind that you are going to win this game and you will

    good luck!

    one hint

incorperate all expenses that you can on your credit cards phone bills, groceries any thing you can pay by CC and use you CC like a checking account using the online pay feature just leaving enough cash in your real checking account for ATM withdrawals and thing s you can't pay with you credit cards

I did that for the last eight months and it looked like I was using my card to the limit [1000 CL era] 2 and 3 times a month!

I had a Cap 1 classic with $500.00 limit for 18 months. I had a 1 day late in August. I asked for a cl increase and they said no because you need 6 months in a row of good history. I found Creditnet and of course all the great minds here and Mr. Cooke and he doubled my limit last month.

They have since sent me 3 offers for a Platinum. I applied last week so we shall see If I get a decent card or not.

I keep a high balance on my card and use it often.
