Pfb Rocks-providian!!!

    Okay, I have long been a Providian nay sayer, but I really have to give hats off to Planetfeedback and board members for encouraging me to register my complaint.

    I have had a providian account for 3 years. Not only had I gotten pathetic credit line increases, but they had upped my interest rate to 25%!!!!! This was after they had charged me for one of their appliance club services when I had cancelled the program (watch out if you do sign up for these, as they will automatically renew unless you call first-which I had done, so...) The interest associated with that charge threw me over my account balance by 2$. So therefore, I was persona non grata.

    Anyhow, I even have called customer service twice begging for some sort of props-CL increase, interest rate decrease.....

    Well, One week after venting my frustrations via planet feedback, here is what they were able to do for me....

    Lower the interest rate to......16.9%!!!! I know that isn't great, but compared to 25!!! I am sooooooooo, happy.

    Waive annual fee and credit my account for the one just charged

    Upgraded account to "Gold"

    No CL increase since I just got one (100$ :( ) last month, but told me to call back in Oct.

    So here it is....Planetfeedback works. And thanks for the words of encouragement here to give that option a whirl.

    It sure does and I'm happy you got this problem improved! Congrats! Planetfeedback is my best friend....and I created it, you know! (Oh, wait, that wasn't me..sorry! LOL)

    I think that this really goes to show how effective Planetfeedback is-I have gotten absolutely nowhere with customer service w/Providian.

    My track record with PFB has been excellent in terms of producing best results. It has worked before w: Bank of America, Southwestern Bell (helped get a hard inquiry deleted) and Delta Airlines. No luck w/ GMAC though.

    Anyhow I encourage everyone to use this service frequently. It has worked in what I thought was an impossible situation.

    Fantastic. And that is the best Providian results I have seen via PlanetFeedback. Maybe they are getting more responsive. Congratulations Kel.

    I am thrilled w/planetfeedback on this one. Can you tell :)
