Hi gang... I have a question on the best way to execute a pfd with the following scenario

2 First Premier cards- around $350 each, reported on all 3 reports. Initially reported as Charge-offs but after disputing, I found they are in collection with a past-due amount. Great news as it gives me a chance for a PFD!

I called up First Premier and they said a collection agency, Jefferson is collection on behalf of the account. Once I called Jefferson they confirmed VFC was collecting on behalf of Jefferson. So back to First Premier I went and we had a 3-way conference call confirming all parties were indeed involved.

Jefferson and VFC are not reporting on my CR, so my question is how do I try a PFD with First Premier with my information moving through 3 parties? The accounts won't fall off until 2015 if I let them sit.

I'm not trying to discourage you, but First Premier is tough when it comes to negotiating PFDs. It was a charge off for them, and they'll likely leave it that way on your credit reports and force you to deal with the CAs regarding payment. Are you 100% positive that this isn't being reported as a collection by one of the CAs?
