My Privacyguard score and my Equifax score are exactly the same--or rather they were when I pulled a report directly from Equifax on Monday. So I disputed a bunch of things with EQ a couple of days ago and now my PG report shows that they are in dispute. I had hoped that the disputes would artificially bump UP my scores. Somehow, my PG score is now down 50+ points! I guess their could be a lot of factors that don't have anything to do with the disputes that are causing that, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't just pull another score directly from EQ. But I'll have to pay for it. (I can't get the monitoring service from EQ because I haven't had any activity on EQ for over a year.--Trust me on this. Verified with a supervisor who called me back to tell me.) I was hoping to apply for a card while in dispute. Do you think it is worth it to pull another score from Equifax? Any ideas what might be going on? In contrast, the last time I disputed a bunch of items, my score went UP 117 points!
Ha! 30 seconds after I posted, I answered my own question! Per the PR Score Disclaimer: "Also, disputed items are not incorporated in the assessment of a CreditXpert Credit Score(tm)." Reading IS fundamental!
