I sent a goodwill letter to Wells Fargo via Planet feedback asking for a very old late to be dropped, but so far no luck. (Citibank did respond positively.) Does anyone know a good phone number at Wells Fargo to try? I'd really like to get this off since it's the only derog on my current lowest FICO score. I don't want to dispute since it's my oldest active account. Thanks. Scott
On your credit report, there are addresses of everyone reporting. There might be a phone number there. From my experience with Wells Fargo, talking on the phone does no good. Also You might try writing them a letter directly. Good luck!

I won't discourage your efforts, but I've tried to help customers with the executive offices of Wells Fargo (credit cards). Their response to me was "If it's not a bank error, we won't fix it." And it would be up to the customer to prove the bank error. Keep trying! I wish I had a better number for you, but I don't. You may want to go into a local Wells Fargo banking center and see if a manager can help you get in touch with the right department.
