My mom is about to add me as an AU to her First USA Visa card (20k limit) and her Discover card (1.3k limit). She has a perfect payment history and 50% or lower utilization on these cards. I have fairly low credit scores, mid-high 500's with a few collections active that I am working on paying and having deleted. How much do you think this will impact my score? Will her entire tradeline be added to my reports or just since I've been an AU?

    Thanks,
    Nick

It will show the date opened but I think that on the months reviewed it will start when you are added. I could be wrong though... As far a score increase, it can only help but there is no sure answer how much.

I found when my mom added me to a over 5 yr old Sears it helps like 26 pts. Alot. I think both because it was my "oldest" card and it was a retail card. Good luck!
