I am in the process of trying to re-establish my credit and would like to know if anyone has used this credit card and if so was it worth it...

when you add up all of their fees to get the card it totals over $300 and the initial credit line is only $300 so they probably hit you with an over the limit charge the day you are approved. I would run from these guys. They sound worse than First Premier.

I think Capital One is the best for reestablishing credit. I don't know your situatiuon but maybe a secured card would work for you.

    Good Luck, Kim

I used them but only because an old Exxon chargeoff was trans to The Credit Store, who finances the Bank of Hoven. They changed the name to Plains Commerce Bank. I paid the account off shortly before they took over... You have to start somewhere......

What about First Premier. They have lots of fees but not as bad as Plains. They approve almost everyone who applies. Centennial is also first Premier. You will at least have some credit available when these cards are approved unlike Plains.

I think Secured cards are better then the 1st Premiers of the world... Would you rather put $300 into a savings account or give the credit card company $300 in fees??

I received a plains commerce card about 3 months ago. Yeah, the fees are a little high, but a lot of companies will deny you if you have recent charge-offs. Plains commerce is guaranteed and they do not do an inquiry on you. I found the customer service to be nice and they sent the statements with plenty of time to make the due date. They report to all 3 credit bureaus and are fair to deal with. So far I am happy with them.

First National Bank of Marin is another Subprime you might try. After 6 months with any of the cards mentioned should get you a cap one card.

    Q. What will be my credit limit?
    A. The initial credit limit is $300. When you receive your credit card your available credit will be $19.

$19?? so you start out owing $281? I am sorry, but I would never go for a deal like this. I started out with Cap1 secured card, and my credit was as bad as anyones, again I would suggest secured.
