After reading for almost two weeks all the mass amount of information and trying to get caught up again on credit repair after a year. I have devised my first plan attack. Please feel free to give suggestion, opinions, solutions. Whatever you think may be appropriate. With that said. On the CR there are some really nice trade lines showing for at least the last few years. The main culprit of the score being so low is the collection accounts. Now, these collections have all been paid/settled for less then the original amount. These accounts were paid back in September 2003. There was no deal made because my sister had no idea of her rights in the first place. As I'm looking at the reports these collections account have not been updated since the accounts have been settled. So I'm thinking instead of disputing the accounts first I would send a letter using "Dancerat's" method. Essentially telling them since it has been 6 months since the debt has been settled it still is not updated which equals inaccurate information being reported. Using the FCRA.The reason I don't want to dispute the accounts first is because I don't want to alert them to the fact that they have not updated then, for them to turn around and update them with the CRA. If I can at least extract a PP out them It might stand a chance of getting them deleted all together. So Thats it. Tell me what you think of this idea. All comments welcome Kathy
