I have two CapOne cards, a gold and Platinum. The gold card has a $700.00 credit limit. The platinum card has a $600.00 credit limit. Through planet feedback, they raised the $600.00 Platinum card to $1300.00. The gold card still remains at $700.00. I received the gold card 5/2000, and the Platinum card 2/2002. I want to combine cards but I'm not sure in which direction gold to platinum or platinum to gold.

I have been trying to get Cap 1 to raise my limits for years.. I have a crappy 200 limit on a card I have had since 1998 and a 500 gold that was issued in 2000. I have no lates recorded and currently the balances are at 0.

What would you recommend I do to get these raised? I am curious as to how you got them to raise your limits through planetfeedback? perhaps you could share the letter?

    Thanks,
    Jeremy

Not sure how to help you. I had a Cap 1 that started out at 1K...then after a year or so of using the card regularly, it got bumped to $2900 w/o asking. I applied for another card(by invitation) and got a measly $300 limit, so I combined them right away for a $3200 limit. For 2 years after that, I called in regularly and was unsuccessful at getting any CLI. I finally canceled the account. Then get this...after 2 full months of being canceled, I had a charge - from Columbia House of all places - go through and reactivate my card. I figured since it reactivated - I'd make the most of it. I did PFB and got them to raise the limit from $3200--->$4400. I then had another promo where if I made 4 purchases within 30 days, they'd give me another $300 CLI. Did that, so now I'm at $4700, with yet another toy $300 on the side. As soon as the $300 card reaches 6 months, I'm combining, upgrading to Plat and I'm done. The point of all this, is that persisitance pays off. Cap 1 makes you work for everything you get, so don't give up.
