i used citibank na, and got a written (letter) response a few weeks later.

I asked for an increase, they wanted copies of previous tax return and W2's. Screw them, i applied for more citi loving and got it.

MikeG got an actual phone # to call, once they got his PFB complaint.

He's posted that the rep at that # has cut his APR.

by the way you need to switch to a standard platinum select and talk to "R" regarding a no-fee balance transfer and a nice prime+1.9% or less rate.

They will do it if you are persistent (and nice) on the phone.

Ok we do have the standard platinum select card with a $8,000 limit after combining and converting :) The A.P.R is 14.74% the lady also said it would be 13.99% after my first bill or something to that effect..I am not the best person on the phone to cut deals so thats why i sent them PFB..However after all the stuff i went through with the Aadvantage accounts i guess i could handle it but yet my wife has to do the talking but then she tells them to speak to me as i handle the bill's..I will wait till i get the fist bill before calling tho..Thanx Guys

The Other: He wished not to post the # here.

BillB: They didn't cut your APR at all. All they were saying is that next cycle, your effective APR would drop 0.75% resulting from recent prime cuts. Thus your variable APR remains unchanged.

Bill did you write a complaint or a complimentary letter? I have had good luck writing a nice letter to citibank. They called and offered to reduce my apr to prime + 2.9.

I also wrote nextcard recently , since they upped my rate from 10.99 to 15.99. Well today I got a letter in the mail offering me prime + 5.99 or 12.99 what ever is the highest.

Depends on which card you carry I would think. Citibank, N.A. has a specific product line they deal with. I'm not sure about the other way around.
