Are those of you who are having good luck with Planetfeedback.com, actually posting your letters on their site, or have you only been sending them directly to the companies you have issues with? Because of the positive results some creditnetters have had, I decided to send six complaint letters to companies via Planetfeedback.com over two weeks ago. I received generic e-mails from each company confirming receipt of the letters, but have not had my specific requests/complaints addressed by any company. Is it because I chose not to post my letters on the Planetfeedback site for the public to read? Is it possible that companies only respond to the noisiest, most in-your-face complainers, but less so (or in my case, not at all) to those who keep it one-on-one? Planetfeedback seems like a great idea, but if companies are ignoring consumers using the site in hopes that it will go away, it will become ineffective in no time. Perhaps we should all agree to post our letters on the Planetfeedback site so we don't lose this potentially valuable resource.
IT IS ALWAYS ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS... Some get NOTHING... Some get ALL THEY WANTED... Some get MORE THAN THEY WANTED... It also varies from BUSINESS TO BUSINESS... I DON'T think it has anything to do with letting OTHERS view your letter...
Don't feel bad I have posted two letters to the CEO of Sears, one to GMAC Mortgage, two to Capital One and one to Genus Credit Management. NO responses. The letter to the CEO of Sears is dealing with some pretty heavy stuff too. He was involved in the whole reaffirmation scandel with Sears, I thought he would at least acknowledge receipt of the letters! Since I did not get a response via PFB, I sent a letter certified mail with copies of all the letters I have sent to him and Sears disputing the account and questioning whether my reaffirmation was legal. I sent that last week. I did get immediate response from the two letters I sent regarding inquiries and their permissible purpose!
I have had good luck with obtaining responses using PlanetFeedback until lately. In the last week, I have been ignored by First Premier Bank and Cap One. ~Toothman
