DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFO. SAY YOU WANT TO HAVE THE DEBT VALIDATED AND YOU WILL CONTACT THEM BY MAIL. Here's the thing. If you have a charge-off or something, these people are going to try and get you to settle. Then, guess what? It's going to be very tough to dispute the tradeline with the CRAs. It will be newly updated, etc. And, you know, an CO is a CO is a CO. Morally speaking, you should not stiff any creditor. But, chances are, these guys bought your debt for pennies on the dollar.
