I just applied for a Citibank Platinum Select online and received a "confirmation" status. Does this mean that I have pretty much been denied?
I called the "application status" line, and the Rep. informed me that I could not be approved until I can show that the ONE negative item on my report is removed! The account is a six year old charge off!!! Is there anything else that I can do, are just give up?
Yes it is. It remains unpaid because the company will not agree to any payoff terms. They will not BUDGE. I have tried to repay them for 6 YEARS!!! It is scheduled to come off next year. I am SOOOO mad because the charge off is less than $500. I can not understand, you would think they would be happy to get the money, IN FULL.
